24 - UNASSIGNED PLAYER BIDDING:
At any time during the pre, regular, and postseason, you may sign a player from the unassigned list. Simply start a thread in the unassigned player section of the forum. Make sure the player's full name is used as the title. In the message body, make an offer of at least league minimum salary, with number of years from 1-4, and a signing bonus if desired. This player now falls under the off-season UFA bidding rules, and will sign with the highest offer received after 24 hours without an offer.(adjusted from 48 to 24 on 12/JAN/2022)
Unassigned player bidding may take place at any time beginning in the off-season UFA period up until the final game of the playoffs. There will be a hard cutoff after the Stanley Cup and Calder Cup have been won. Any players still in the bidding process at this point will remain unsigned, and have their bids cancelled.
