Calgary Flames star forward Elias Lindholm was enjoying his "Calgary Summer", which normally means a lot of golf and watching hockey on the TV with friends, when his favourite courses all started turning him away. The city is currently under an emergency orders for water conservation to the main water supply pipe for the city being damaged(true story). He was texted by GM Sean McAndrews, and in his text, the only thing it said was "Sign in Calgary, and the water comes back on".
Could it be? I mean, he did stab his friend, but is he REALLY, TRULY willing to put the entire city of Calgary into drought and ruin just to keep Elias Lindholm around?
Many players might consider that type of behaviour extreme, but Lindholm was VERY impressed and flattered by the act, and has decided to give the Flames a one time chance to keep his services....
Elias Lindholm demands $7.25mil for 2 years, with a signing bonus of $1.45mil
