Gustav Forsling

Sabres star penalty killer, Gustav Forsling, was part of a small contingent of Sabres (which included Adin Hill, Zach Whitecloud, Oskar Linblom, and Jake Debrusk) that all took part in GM Jesse Edwards' annual "26 is the best age for boys" Karaoke party! Highlights of the night included Jake Debrusk's version of "Like a Virgin", and GM Edwards himself singing "Tura Lura Lura" in his best sheer toga. Forsling stayed after everyone else had left, asking Edwards how he was able to hit such high notes so softly and beautifully, as is still 26 himself. Edwards explained his secret to Forsling, and gave him a very sentimental leather cinch, with Australian Pearls used as locking beads. Within hours, a fax was sent to the Buffalo Sabres Head Office that read: Dear Jesse, I want to stay with you, and be on your team. You are a good man, and an even better friend. I will be happy with a 2 year contract, at $5,125,000 per year. As for signing bonus, money is not required. Your friendship is bonus enough. Signed Gustav Forsling.
