Confirm.
Between Atkinson and Arvidsson, both were pending UFAs and would have costed me over a combined 3 mil in signing bonuses if I wanted to keep them, fearing they may not re-rate well. The return is minimal on both, but I did the math and even though I’m retaining I’ll still be coming out with a bit more cash on the books instead of hanging onto them for the rest of the year. Losing them both completely guts the depth of my team but as I’m already last place… it doesn’t really matter at this point. We’ll refocus in the off-season.
