To NSH: Brandon Sutter Alexander Texier Jonas Siegenthaler Nic Petan Spencer Martin
To VAN: Johnathan Toews
Trade was pre-checked by Corey and Jay on the leadership team for any pork products.
I have targeted Toews since the dispersal when he was taken from me by the previous Nashville GM right before I was to pick him. I am in DESPERATE need of a top flight Centre or winger, since I moved Duchene to my first line. This now establishes my Centre depth. I have(had?) plenty of cap room to make this deal happen. Texier and Siegenthaler are what I lose here(and maybe to a lesser degree Sutter). Texier is having a very good NHL year, although he is having an even better PFHL year, and I will greatly miss him. Siegenthaler has become my top Centre since I traded Olli Joulevi away, and I am happy he is going somewhere that plans to develop him fully. Great talks with Kyle, I am happy we could come to an agreement, and hope you enjoy the pieces you were after as much as I enjoy the one I was after.

Nashville agrees to this trade.
Texier is the franchise center with an abundance of potential. Low Price for 4 years. Fits in a locked in centre position with Thomas, Lunderstrom and Wallmark. Young, fast and will be locked in for the future.
Sutter provides and immediate roster spot and Petan can fill in when needed as well. Knight gives us a goalie in the pipeline.
Siegenthaler adds to an already stacked defense plus Valimaki on the farm which lets me move Schultz as well.
Yes, it is great to have a new GM in the league and yes a little win streak to start us off is nice but this team is not a contender. There is no balance and through the front 12 and is a mish mash of players. We now have the luxury of getting half a season in to get this team on it's future path.
A 5 for 1 with two players having and 79+ PO and cap savings for the offseason and the ability to balance out the roster and have a stable of young guns. Easy choice for a team that on the off chance would make the playoffs would certainly not advance.

Nashville agrees to this trade. Knight gives us a goalie in the pipeline. If Nashville thinks he’s getting Spencer Knight this trade makes more sense. Perhaps this detail should be confirmed before processing?

Trade on hold pending confirmation from Kyle (NSH) as he references a goalie not included in the deal.

Sorry, mistype.
I know I am not getting Knight and getting Martin.
