The Washington Capitals have hired GM Joe Larson to take over as Commander and Chief! Washington D.C. is not void of conflict and deceit and many feel as though the DC area is so divided and conflicted that nothing can be done to move this thing forward! GM Larson points out that this is a fact. However inside this locker room, training facility, front office and ownership we have different values. We block out all outside noise and focus on hockey period. With the PFHL draft a little over 24 hours away we are busy evaluating talent to put the best players together and bring some fun and excitement to this area. We know what our jobs are as team leaders. It is our job to get a product on the ice that will be fun to watch. Larson likes to build fast end to end action. We will focus on our D core with the hopes of adding some youth and veteran leaders to solidify a strong base from which the forwards can break out and move the puck zone to zone. With pick 24 we have our work cut out. Passing on a goalie in rounds 1 and 2 will be very difficult. Like most of the PFHL we will see what comes our way with each pick. We have a plan however also know that this will be somewhat fluid as well. I would also like to take this opportunity in my first address to the PFHL. I wish each and every GM luck in this upcoming draft. Without a great group of GM's the league will not sustain. I salute each of you!
