Blue Jackets Terrible Season Ends on a High
It has been nearly a year since the hiring of GM Sullivan in Columbus, and it has been a highly unsuccessful beginning of a tenure. Inheriting a team with little direction, ownership gave GM Sullivan the green-light to begin the rebuild from the franchise.
With that, came the stripping down of the roster and selling of multiple players and some prospect shuffling. Many trades were made, with the outcome of many still to be determined, but one thing is for sure, the Draft Lottery Gods, were in Columbus' favor tonight.
Now with the Draft Lottery Win, The Blue Jackets are on the clock for the draft. The unanimously predicted #1 prospect, Macklin Celebrini is expected to be the first overall selection at this years draft, but time will tell.
One team has reportedly already reached out to Sullivan, with a significant offer for the rights to draft the young Canadian.
