Well in the spirit of Drysdale moving to Philly in the NHL and with the NTC removed around the PFHL
To Colorado
Eric Johnson Kevin Korchinsky (p) 4 million
To Ottawa
Jamie Drysdale
It's to no surprise that I had tried to move aging Johnson a few times this year with no takers. Plus with his 6 mill a year contract for the next 2 years, I needed cap space to resign other UFA's. Losing Korchinsky is not an easy thing but we still have Mintyukov who's playing great in his 1st NHL season and Drysdale is only 2 years older than Korchinsky but already very well rated with lots of NHL rerate left to use on him. The 4 mill was to offset a bit of the 12 million cap taken by Colorado.

Colorado agrees. Was not easy at all to sell D diamond like Drysdale, which have been developed for last 2 seasons and has bright future ahead of him. But we feel we got adequate return in Johnson (who is still playing at high level, should bring leadership into the team and be able to play couple of seasons) and in Korchinsky (who is star in making and with one year development should fit directly into our 1st/2nd pairing in Pro roster). 4M cash was to adjust slightly the cap difference in the deal. Pretty straightforward talks with Mike as always, thanks for that mate 👍
