Well after a few times on the block in the past years and minimal interest from GM's in the league(to my surpise), Seguin is leaving for San Jose. We would like to thank Seguin for the past 2 great seasons in Ottawa. We are extremely happy and excited to welcome Meier to Ottawa. Much younger with good PO and cheaper at signing him as he's looking for a long term contract, so we had to be financially smart, which influenced our decision to move Seguin. For me, Hatakka is the prize with a great PO, an amazing year in the farm at 1 point per game and one of the top D prospects with the NJ Devils in the NHL. He will join a Bellevile team that is already deep on D, so he will fit in perfectly on the 2nd line.
