To DET: David Pastrnak(50% retention 2 years)
To VAN: Joe Veleno 2025DET1st 2026DET1st Miko Matikka(P) $15mil
Before I begin, a HUGE thanks to Sean McAndrews who brought forth likely the best offer, but was hampered by being in my division. Thanks to MAthias for showing how badly he wanted to win. Not much to explain here... I have no OG card for when PAsta's contract expires, my team is retooling(looks more like rebuilding now), and this was the best I could get I feel, and trust me, I tried for more, several times.
Veleno might be an NHL rerate if I am lucky, and if not he should graduate up nicely and play for me for years. I see a VERY good 2026 1st in my future now, 2025 is likely to be later in the round. Matikka was the only prospect worth a damn, so I took him, and the cash? I consider it a tip! IT should be able to get me what I missed out on by not taking Sean's beautiful offer. Thanks again Mathias!

Via Proxy, Detroit accepts the deal with the following prepared statement:
Detroit accepts the above stated trade, we make somewhat of a make it or break it deal here. The start of the season has been long from what was expected and something needed to be done. The chance of adding Pasta to the roster presented itself and the chance to ice Drai/Connor/Pasta is just something that I couldn’t pass up on, the futures given here is steep I know and we might as well have shoot ourselves here but we are and will always be a “go for it now” team. Giving up futures always hurts, but I’ll say it again Darisaitl - Connor - Pasta line up!! Now who can compete with that? Veleno? No! 2 1sts? No! Mikko Matikka? No! $15’000’000? No! So for Detroit this is a good deal for the short term, and when have we ever thought about anything different?
