After a start to the season less than ideal for the Ottawa Senators, the Sens are now back to winning games. After GM Sean McAndrews contacted GM Mike Bell and offered Sean Monahan in exchange for Trocheck, GM Bell decided to call his lawyers to make sure that there wasn't a hidden NTC in Monahan's contract like there was last year when a deal was reach for both players but then nullified mere minutes after agreeing to the deal. This time around, all was good and with the added pick, we where getting younger so GM Bell decided it was time to move Vincent Trocheck in order to shake things up and did it ever. Since the trade, Ottawa has gone on a 5 games win streak and will face a Calgary squad tonight that has turned things around this year with a 9-4 record.
More moves are to be expected and everything could be on the table. The biggest question mark will be if GM Bell decides to activate his OG card for superstar Hyman who is leading the team in points. With all the UFA’S to resign this year, big decisions will have to be taken.
