10 game recap Detroit Red Wings



10 games into the 23/24 regular season has been played and the Wings sit 3rd in the Atlantic after a so-so start of the season.... 


The positive;

• Penalty kill has been good, currently sitting 2nd in the league with 89.13% allowing 5 goals on 46 PK situations.

• 4th in Faceoffs, 53,91% with Nicklas Backstrom as top player with 58.47% wins of 248 faceoffs.

• Leon Draisaitl with a 9 goals and a 19 point start for the first 10 games.

• Thomas Greiss has keept the pucks out of the goal in a ok manner, 90.2%, 2.89GAA is not great but still good enough as Juuse Saros has been struggling so far this season.



The negative;

• Juuse Saros, with just one start so far, 70.6%, 6.72GAA which is terrible.

• Connor Brown has had a slow start compared to his line mates Draisaitl and Connor with just 1 goal in 10 games.

• The powerplay has been below avarage level with a 20% and ranked 22nd in the league after 10 games, which must improve if the team wants to compete this season.
