Hartford Wolf Pack Preview

Expectations are high for this Hartford team heading into the new farm season. They will look to build on last years playoff run which ended in the 3rd round at the hands of the Hersey Bears. The team has seen some changes but most of the core remains and will likely benefit from some new faces joining the squad.



Key Departures


After an absolutely standout season defenseman Victor Mete has graduated to the New York Rangers. His scoring from the backend will be missed but the team hopes that the combination of a bolstered D core and added skill to the forwards will help cover his absence.



Key Additions


On the back end the Pack are happy to have added Jordan Oesterle and Alexandre Carrier into the mix. This experienced pair will certainly stabilize the defensive game and help mentor the youngsters. In addition, highly touted defenseman Thomas Harley will join the D core and begin his hockey journey with the Rangers organization.



At forward the standout addition has to be Mason McTavish. The 20-year-old center is penciled in to make his debut on the top line. The sky is the limit for this skilled player and should be a fan favorite in short order.



The last significant addition to the team is in net. The organization is excited to have added Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to the goaltending depth chart. The young tender will partner with Keith Kinkaid to give the Wolf Pack a solid duo heading into the upcoming season.



Key Returnees


Hartford saw a number of its young core players take positive development steps last year. They will be counted on to continue that upward trajectory this year and contribute to further team success. Forwards Peyton Krebs, Noah Cates, and Morgan Barron will be key contributors this year. The young defensemen Ronald Attard and Samuel Bolduc will be main stays on the back end.
