Owen, welcome to Nashville and congratulations on signing with the Predators. How does it feel to officially join the team?
Owen Power: Thank you, it's a pleasure to be here. Signing with the Predators is a dream come true, and I'm incredibly excited to start this new chapter of my hockey career.
Interviewer: That's fantastic to hear, Owen. We know you had quite the journey leading up to this moment. Can you tell us about signing with the Nashville Predators and how it aligns with your goals as a player?
Owen Power: Absolutely. Nashville has always been a team that values strong defensive play and a competitive spirit, which aligns perfectly with my style of play. After talking to the coaching staff and management, I felt a strong connection and saw their dedication to developing players like myself. It's clear that they have a vision for the future that I want to be a part of so the choice was easy to start my Predators career this season.
Interviewer: It sounds like a great fit indeed. What do you think you can bring to the Predators on and off the ice?
Owen Power: On the ice, I'm focused on using my size and skills to contribute defensively and help control the play. Whether it's making smart breakout passes or being a reliable presence in our own zone, I want to be someone my teammates can count on. Off the ice, I'm eager to learn from the experienced players and contribute to the team's culture in any way I can.
Interviewer: That's a fantastic attitude to have. Now, as you step into the PFHL, what aspects of your game are you looking to improve upon?
Owen Power: There's always room for improvement, and the PFHL is a whole new level of competition. I'll be working on my overall defensive awareness, refining my positioning, and enhancing my offensive contributions from the blue line. It's about continuous growth and adapting to the challenges the league presents.
