We'd like to start off our press conference by congratulating Aaron and his Vancouver Canucks on a well deserving Stanley cup victory.
With that being said the Gary Gosal of the Philadelphia Flyers had the following to say:
With the major revamp we did to the team we fully expected to go deep into the playoffs. That did not happen. Losing in 5 to the runner up Detroit Red Wings. The series showed us we have a long ways to go before we could go any further in the playoffs and we will address this problem during the off season. Expect a busy offseason from myself and will plan to bolster up the lineup even more than last season. There are a few players on the team who could potentially be shipped out for further assistance. The team is built to win now and we will look at all possibilities to try and improve the team. We have some really good prospects and top 6 forwards we could move to upgrade the top 6. The main focus this offseason will be on offense and grit. We lacked the grit to compete against the Red Wings and we know grit is very important in the playoffs. We need men out there not boys. No one is untouchable on the Flyers so feel free to make offers on any player. However, please remember we are mostly looking to trade players for players and not looking to rebuild.
