Hartford Wolf Pack – Who’s Who Top 5
Victor Mete D, 24yo, 72OV, 60gp 28g-54a-82pts, +7
Victor Mete joined the Rangers organization last summer as part of the Adam Pelech trade. All he’s done since is become the Wolf Pack’s MVP. In addition to Victor’s already strong DF acumen his scoring touch has certainly blossomed which should see a healthy increase in his SC attribute. He has been a strong performer at 5 on 5 and on the power play with 35pts on the man advantage. Mete will certainly be part of the Ranger’s D corps next season and it won’t be a surprise if he ends up on the top pairing.
Noah Cates (R) F, 24yo, 65OV, 60gp 28g-32a-60pts, +1
As a fresh faced rookie this year, Noah has turned in an admirable performance. He has worked himself up to the top line and has enjoyed success as a high-volume shooter. Noah should be rewarded with positive attribute rewards this offseason and will be pencilled in as first line LW on the farm next year. With another year eligibility on the farm, it will be imperative that Cates turns in another strong year before graduating to the pros.
Ronald Attard (R) D, 23yo, 66OV, 60gp 16g-44a-60pts, -26
It’s been an eventful season for the rookie Attard. The big defenseman has certainly shown his prowess at the offensive end of the ice but has struggled at times in his own end. Ronald has shown some improvements in his defensive game after a very rough start to his pro career. Next year he will be counted on as the main power play QB with Mete moving up to the big club. We shouldn’t be surprised to see even bigger scoring numbers from him next year on the farm. Can he show some defensive improvement though?
Peyton Krebs (R) F, 22yo, 66OV, 28gp 11g-22a-33pts, +3
Peyton Krebs is the third rookie to make an appearance on this top 5. When he’s on the ice things certainly happen. Unfortunately, Krebs suffered an injury early in the season and then the daft GM forgot to insert him back in the lineup! Accounting for the fewer games played, Peyton has acquitted himself well in his first pro season. We’ll likely see him as the first line C for the Pack next season.
Martin Kaut F, 23yo, 64OV, 60gp 25g-23a-53pts, -9
Martin returned to the Wolf Pack this year and has shown growth in all facets of his game. His current 53pts is a nice improvement over the 23pts scored last year. Average ice time has doubled this year which includes some power play time. Expect Kaut to have an even bigger role next year as he prepares to graduate to the big club.
