After a topsy-turvy season which saw the Panthers start red-hot before falling back to earth last year, an energized Panthers team looks ready to emerge as contenders in 2022-23.
Led by captain Kirill Kaprizov, new offensive arrivals in Alex DeBrincat and Patrice Bergeron, as well as a young defensive core headlined by Noah Dobson, this edition of the Florida Panthers combines a better blend of veteran offensive firepower with a core of younger players with potential.
This year's club should have much more stability in goal, too, with one of the league's best netminders in Juuse Saros ready to man the Cats crease.
The Panthers welcomed back veteran center Paul Stastny on a surprising 4-year deal, and acquired backup goaltender Robin Lehner via trade from St. Louis.
GM Jay Seo feels this group is much better suited to contend for a Cup in the long run, and hopes that the continued development of his club's young stars will help propel them to a long run in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
As of now, the club's lineup looks as follows:
Kirill Kaprizov - Patrice Bergeron - Johnny Gaudreau Alex DeBrincat - Colin White - Brock Boeser Nikita Gusev - Paul Stastny - Christian Fischer Curtis Lazar - Cody Eakin - John Hayden Colin Blackwell
Noah Dobson - Ethan Bear Sean Durzi - Henri Jokiharju Niko Mikkola - Brett Kulak
Juuse Saros Robin Lehner

Nice article. Debrincat and Saros are HUGE adds but your defense still would scare me a bit!
