With the Jets continuing to retool their lineup and a strong back end, it was now time to look to move out a Dmen. Although we thank Sergachev for his contributions thus far we felt the need to make a splash in a big way to think towards the future and make this move. this deal has been a hot topic with many conversations over the past 24 hours and i think both side are happy we came up with a deal in the end.

To New Jersey - Mikhail Sergachev
While this may seem like a large number of assets, Jersey feels it was worth the added value of a young blueline stud to match up with Werenski. There were a handful of holes after last season, adding a player like Sergachev should mitigate some of the pressure on the stellar young netminder Swayman and make the stingy defense, more so!
