Connor Dewar has danced on his last pole at Bearracuda in Minnesota. We’re shipping Dewar out to bring in some much needed insurance on defense heading into next season. We dealt with some injuries last year on the blueline and think you can’t get a more solid #6 defenseman than Justin Braun.

Braun was the odd man out with the new look defense for Anaheim, and we found him a new home in Minnesota. We shed 1.8m in cap for 2 years, while receiving a waiver-exempt youngster to shore up the farm team's roster. He may even develop into a pro-roster player, and is a potential (admittedly long-shot) NHL rerate-able player. Didn't think a deal involving Braun would happen this quick but we got what we were looking for in Dewar.
