Like the Faksa trade yesterday this about clearing room for some younger guys next year , Lemieux was a 4th liner for us and had 2 more years after this year and Reaves will be done his contract at seasons end. Thanks Jussi !

Colorado confirms. Wanted Lemieux as he has fairly cheap contract and Reaves' contract was expiring at the end of the season.
Lemieux can also still improve and hopefully he can add something else on the table than just physical presence.
