Thanks Swack for great talks. Thanks as well for a gm who was gonna take Bernier at a price if needed. but in the end a one round pick upgrade got him in this deal.

Got me cap savings this year, not giving away points EVERY time my backup played. Gives me insurance if Rask retires that I have a guy who can be a number 1 while Askarov develops.

Pittsburgh accepts. Thanks for the talks, deal would have been done faster if it werent for kids lol. We weren't comfortable necessarily with re-signing driedger with pending rerates. Taking a bit of a risk here with the Boston 1st but at the moment is a top 15ish pick plus the additional 2nd next season. Berniers cap will help a bit to stay above the floor when we shop some of our ufas. Also grab a couple decent prospects which will help down the road.
